The acoustic problem
Doctors’ surgeries, waiting rooms and wellness areas are often very modern but unfortunately also cold and sterile. Plaster ceilings, tile floors and straight concrete or plaster walls create a cool room ambience and ensure poor room acoustics. Clients hardly dare to move and conversations among themselves in the waiting room take place only in whispers, if at all. The doctor or therapist is also always careful not to speak too loudly so that the conversation cannot be heard in the neighbouring room or waiting room.
